You may be wondering…

Can I contact you if I am simply feeling low?

Yes. You do not need to wait for a crisis or prove that what you are facing is serious.

Do I need to give my name?

You do not need to give your name when you call. If you use our email service, you may also use a pseudonym.

What if the line is engaged?

This usually means a volunteer is speaking with another caller. Please try again a little later.

Should I call or email?

Call if you would like to talk now. Email may feel easier if speaking is difficult, but it is not an immediate service.

We provide emotional support, but we are not an emergency service

If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to the nearest Accident and Emergency Department.
