The Samaritans Hong Kong

Confidential listening, so you can talk openly

A private and non-judgemental listening conversation

Your privacy comes first

Emotional support needs to feel safe. The Samaritans Hong Kong provides confidential listening so callers can express how they truly feel without judgement.

We understand that some things are difficult to tell family or friends. Our volunteers respect your boundaries and focus on the part you most want to share at that moment.

You decide where the conversation goes

You do not have to disclose information you would rather keep private, or speak in any prescribed way. You can talk, pause or simply sit quietly for a moment.

We will not judge you. We will stay alongside you as you make sense of your feelings, creating a conversation in which you can feel safe.

A private and non-judgemental listening conversation

Every voice matters

No matter how ordinary a problem may seem, if it is affecting you, it deserves to be taken seriously.

Confidentiality, a non-judgemental approach and empathy are central to every conversation we have.
